Multiple Venues, New Brighton — photowalk route to be confirmed

A photography project putting cameras in the hands of 200 school children, documenting what it's like to grow up in New Brighton. Work exhibited as a multi-venue photowalk alongside documentary photographers Martin Parr, Tom Wood, Alex Hurst and Ken Grant.

A Night at the Tower

A specially devised piece of children's theatre with song and dance, based on a day in 1963's New Brighton when The Beatles played the Tower Ballroom for the very last time.

Choirs by Candlelight

Primary and secondary school choirs unite for a large-scale community performance in a beautiful local church setting — a truly atmospheric evening.
Wednesday 8th July
Brass band
Blow the Roof Off!
St James' church, New Brighton
Brass instruments in the hands of Wallasey's young people! Six whole-class workshops lead to a high-energy concert headlined by Backchat Brass in partnership with the Love Music Trust.
Thursday 9th July
Spoken word
Spoken Word with Joseph Roberts
riptide, New Brighton
In-school poetry and storytelling workshops with Joseph Roberts, encouraging creativity and culminating in students performing their own work live at a New Brighton venue.
Friday 10th July
Live gig
Friday Night Live!

Secondary school bands from across Wirral take to the stage in a professional-style gig. Last year's show was a sell-out — expect big energy, brilliant young talent and an electric atmosphere.
Street party
Saturday 11th July · The Grand Finale
NBAF Street Party
Victoria Road, New Brighton
The festival's spectacular finale — a family-filled day of live music, dance, food and drink taking over Victoria Road. Featuring our main stage, local performers, community stalls and everything that makes New Brighton special. Free to attend!
