Why people should come

Six weeks ago, these kids had never picked up a brass instrument. Now they're about to share a stage with one of the UK's most exciting brass bands.

Blow the Roof Off! is exactly what it sounds like. Six whole-class workshops in Wallasey schools — delivered in partnership with the Love Music Trust — have put brass instruments into the hands of young people for the very first time. The result is a high-energy concert at the Floral Pavilion Blue Room that's part celebration, part spectacle and entirely joyful.

Headlining the night is Backchat Brass, bringing the kind of explosive, feel-good brass band energy that fills a room and has everyone on their feet. This is a concert that rewards both the performers who've worked for it and the audience lucky enough to be there.

  • Young people from Wallasey schools perform live after six whole-class brass workshops
  • Headlined by Backchat Brass — high-energy, feel-good and seriously impressive
  • Delivered in partnership with the Love Music Trust
  • A loud, joyful, roof-raising night at the Floral Pavilion Blue Room
  • The kind of concert where you can't help but smile from start to finish

Then Backchat Brass take over — delivering the kind of high-octane brass band performance that fills every corner of the room and gets the whole audience moving.
