Why people should come
One of the most beautiful evenings in the festival programme — and one that belongs entirely to the young voices of New Brighton.
Primary and secondary school choirs come together for a single, large-scale performance in Floral Pavilion Blue Room. Candlelit, communal and completely uplifting — this is the kind of event that stays with you long after the last note fades.
There's something genuinely moving about hearing so many young voices fill a beautiful church together. Whether you're a parent in the audience or a complete stranger to the performers, Choirs by Candlelight has a way of stopping you in your tracks. Come ready to feel something.

The performance
Primary and secondary school choirs take turns and come together for a programme of choral music — filling the church with sound in a way that only a large community choir can..
The combined finale
All choirs unite for a closing performance together — the moment the whole evening builds toward, and the one most likely to raise the hairs on the back of your neck.
